Atlas VMS acquires CloseClear.ai, with disaster monitoring coming to AIM-Port
Atlas VMS has acquired CloseClear.ai, an early-stage mortgage technology platform that continuously monitors active loan pipelines against live federal disaster data to identify potential GSE repurchase risk. It is Atlas’ second platform purchase, after its 2025 acquisition of AIM-Port.
CloseClear.ai picks up changes in disaster exposure after the appraisal is complete. It matches loans against federally declared disaster areas at the ZIP and county level, with map-level precision where available, in line with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines. Atlas said the technology addresses a risk that can change during a mortgage transaction and might otherwise only be caught at closing.
CloseClear.ai will keep operating as a standalone product for its existing customers, under its current brand. Atlas VMS plans to integrate its monitoring into AIM-Port as a premium offering for lender and appraisal management company (AMC) customers, and expects the technology to underpin further AIM-Port products.
The first planned is property-level flood zone determinations inside AIM-Port, alongside appraisal workflows, built on CloseClear.ai’s nationwide flood map database and state-by-state accuracy certification program.
“CloseClear.ai closes a real gap for our lenders. Disaster exposure doesn’t stop being a risk just because the appraisal is done. Pairing it with AIM-Port lets us monitor that risk continuously and act on it automatically, at a scale this technology couldn’t reach on its own.”
