Mick Tindall named a 2026 HousingWire Tech Trendsetter
HousingWire has named Mick Tindall a 2026 Tech Trendsetter. Tindall is chief technology officer and president of Platform Solutions at Atlas VMS, where he oversees AIM-Port, the appraisal platform he helped develop more than a decade before Atlas acquired it in 2025.
The profile points to a year of growth for the platform. Tindall identified and managed more than 30 integrations, helping more than double AIM-Port’s revenue. Among them is an integration with HomeVision’s AI-powered collateral underwriting technology, which has processed more than 2 million appraisal reports. The combined workflow automates policy and investor guideline checks, clears compliant files and directs reviewers to the exceptions that need a person.
Tindall also helped take AIM-Port beyond appraisal ordering through Atlas’ acquisition of CloseClear.ai, which monitors active loan pipelines against federally declared disaster areas. That helps lenders spot properties exposed after an appraisal but before closing, with time to order additional inspections. He is now helping bring property-level flood zone determinations into the platform.
HousingWire also notes that the expansion kept the trust of the appraisal management companies (AMCs) that use AIM-Port, including those that compete with Atlas’ valuation business.
“By preserving the platform’s independence while adding AI, monitoring and risk management capabilities, he is redefining what an appraisal platform can deliver.”
